The Entertainers

David Auld

DAVID AULD is a native of Tarbolton and cannot recall missing a Bachelors' Supper for the past 25 years including a televised event which has been seen in all corners of the world. His unaccompanied singing reveals the deep emotion behing Burns' songs.

ALLAN CARSWELL, also a native of Tarbolton and a member of the Bachelors' Club Committee, is related to the owner of the Burns Violin on which Wallace plays. His interpretation of the Bard's verses are legendary and he is in constant demand at Suppers throughout the UK.

Wallace Galbraith

WALLACE GALBRAITH is greatly involved as a player, teacher, conductor and organiser in Ayrshire's musical activities and is the Director of the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra. He discovered the Burns Violin some 10 years ago at the farm of Major John Weir, Chairman of the Bachelors' Club Committee - the violin belonged to William Gregg, the dancing master at the Club when Burns attended and played this instrument. An extended biography is available here.
